The hydraulic motor is an actuator that mainly performs rotary motion. It is a process of converting pressure energy into mechanical energy. A large amount of heat is generated during the working process.

Overheating means that a large amount of energy is directly converted into heat by doing useless work. Under the same working conditions, the worse the performance of the hydraulic motor and the lower the mechanical efficiency, the more serious the heating of the hydraulic motor will be. Therefore, when designing a hydraulic motor, try to achieve static pressure balance and a small mechanical friction coefficient, so as to improve the mechanical efficiency as much as possible without causing serious heat generation of the hydraulic motor. Of course, hydraulic motors inevitably generate heat during operation.
 
Generally, there are two factors that determine the heating of a hydraulic motor, namely, the working pressure and the working speed. Generally, the higher the pressure and speed, the more serious the heating of the hydraulic motor.

The working oil temperature of the hydraulic motor should be controlled below 70℃. If it is too high, a cooling system must be used. Common cooling systems include water cooling and air cooling. Water cooling effect is better. The better the thermal control of the hydraulic system, the better the stability of the hydraulic system and the better the hydraulic components.
